glx search

Full-text search across all entities

Synopsis

Search all entity types and fields in the archive for a keyword or phrase. Case-insensitive by default. Use --case-sensitive for exact case matching. Use --type to restrict results to a specific entity type.

glx search <query> [flags]

Examples

  # Search for a name across all entities
  glx search "Millbrook" --archive ./archive

  # Case-sensitive search
  glx search "Miller" --archive ./archive --case-sensitive

  # Search only persons
  glx search "Jane" --archive ./archive --type persons

Options

  -a, --archive string   Path to GLX archive (default ".")
      --case-sensitive   Case-sensitive search
  -h, --help             help for search
      --json             Output results as JSON
      --type string      Filter to entity type (persons, events, places, etc.)
